Allow me to introduce myself

Carrie Rubin founded Perfect Advocate, Inc. in 2017. After years of experience in the healthcare field and seeing the frustrations of patient’s and families feeling that they were not being heard, being overlooked, having communication issues with their healthcare providers Carrie knew she could help.

Carrie feels privileged that the beginning of her healthcare career was working with adolescents suffering from duel diagnoses, and with their families. She found this experience to be life changing and invaluable, she speaks of such wonderful lessons learned from the youth and parents in crisis. She found it heartwarming when these families came to a place of understanding and healing after such discord and anger.

She spent four years giving back to our veterans at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Finding herself in the Surgical Services offices as the Assistant to Chief of Surgery, there were a couple of things that she especially loved about that role; the interactions with the veterans and one of her duties was that of “patient advocate” when letters were received from patients with concerns. It was her honor to advocate for veterans especially knowing the sacrifices they have made for us.

It was her great privilege to then spend 8 years at Hospice of Palm Beach County. Carrie was able to assist so many with life limiting illnesses and gently guide them through some of the hardest times of their lives. A big part of her role there was to advocate for her patient’s rights, goals and wishes. There are times that the patient’s only voice is what they have written in previous years on their advanced directives and Carrie tirelessly advocated for those advanced directives to be honored, for the patient to be heard. Therefore, Perfect Advocate, Inc. was born …
Testimonial

”Neither my friend or I understood the complexities of dealing with multiple factions of the medical community. I called on Carrie to help us understand the where, what, why and how of dealing with each faction of the medical network. She helped us understand what questions needed to be asked in order to make the best decisions. ”
